All good things eventually come an end, and our 2011 Golf Season at Pine Hills Golf Club is no different.

We would like to thank Pine Hills Golf Club and its professional staff for hosting our league for another season. Head Professional David Kinnell always made sure that everything was ready for us and that all events worked smoothly. Even with all the rain in the spring and late summer we still enjoyed first-class playing conditions on this challenging course.

64 golfers enjoyed membership in the 2011 league with an overall average of 36 playing each Saturday morning in four flights. We played 27 Saturdays between April 2 and October 1 with only 2 events rained out.

Special kudos are extended to our new Tournament Director Ken Trepkowsky. He took the rains from Fred and ran the entire season flawlessly.

Although the 2011 season has officially ended, we keep on playing on Saturdays until the course closes for the winter. Call the course or enter your name on the signup sheet posted at the bulletin board the week prior. Pine Hills is keeping a limited number of tee times open for us.

Sadly we need to say good bye to three long-time, active members as they are leaving town for new ventures. We will miss you Bill, Lou and Dante, wishing you all the best.

Anyone wishing to join this league in 2012 may contact the league president Fred Taylor. We are going strong, yet always have room for a few good men, no matter what the handicap.

2011 Club Champions

Congratulations to Ryan Burrows who won over Jim Kuhn to become the newly crowned 2011 Club Champion.
The A-flight winner is Jim Patton who beat Dean Kutz
The B-flight winner is Rick Roach who won over Gary Blatter
The C-flight winner is Bill Kelly who beat Mike Sharpe

Low Net Meininger Champions

The Meininger Champion for 2011 is Nick Pupo. He won with a net 72 over Art Boehm and Dick Zalack who tied with a 75 for second place. Mike Marcis, who was the fourth qualifier, finished with a net 76.
